GSTV (Ground Systems Test and Validation) Applications

The GSTV consists of several SIMSAT compatible components that can be combined and configured such to form different applications. Depending on its configuration and deployment, the GSTV system replaces the space segment and/or parts of the ground segment by a collection of software components. In principle the GSTV can simulate the complete operational chain from the MCS to the spacecraft and back ('virtual mission'). The system(s) that are under test are introduced in the chain. The existing and future test applications at ESOC that will be supported by the GSTV are:

• Simulation of an SLE TM/TC services user (based on the SLE API, user side)
• Reception of CLTU(s) according to the NCTRS/SCOS-2000 interface
• Delivery of CLTU(s) according to the SLE CLTU service
• Reception of telemetry transfer frames according to the SLE RCF service
• Delivery of CLTU(s), according to the NCTRS/SCOS-2000 interface.
