This is the ESA Ground Operation System (EGOS®) portal. Here we provide information about all main ESA spacecraft operating systems. Since its constitution, the ESOC center is developing and operating full range of software for mission control systems to support ESA space exploration and access to space to third parties in the overall space community.
There is available information about SCOS-2000®, the ESA spacecraft operating system as well as other applications, which constitute the infrastructure and middleware of the Ground Segment. Dedicated sections are available for each software providing an outlook, relevant documentation, operating environment.
The ESA Ground Segment Software is provided to ESA Member States under special licence conditions. Information on workshops is available as well as contact details.
European Ground System Architecture Workshop (ESAW) 18 - 19 June 2013 ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany.
In continuing this highly successful series of Workshops, the European Space Agencys Operations Centre (ESA/ESOC) in Darmstadt, Germany, will host the 4th ESAW (European Ground System Architecture Workshop) workshop on 18 and 19 June 2013, under the auspices of ESAs Human Spaceflight and Operations Directorate.
The ESAW Workshop provides an international forum for ground systems architects to constructively exchange ideas. The organisers invite presentations covering all aspects of ground systems related to space operations with a special focus on collaboration and common solutions.
There will be keynote speakers from ESA, National Agencies (e.g. ASI, CNES, DLR), Telecommunications Operators (e.g. Eutelsat, Inmarsat, SES Astra) and key IT companies.
Each sessions will address the architectures, methodologies, services, lessons learned, business cases and advanced technologies in each area.
All of the presentations will be available for download as of 25 June.
